Salt & Pepper Shakers
Client: Season-iT Ltd, United Kingdom
The founder of Season-iT came to me with a cool idea for a salt & pepper shaker series.
I helped transforming the idea into a collection of physical products.
Initially, I assisted by creating design and construction options to choose from and then went on to create 3D files that were used by a local U.K. CNC manufacturer to create the products.
The pocket-sized Season-iT products can be attached to keyrings and are meant to be carried every day.
They consist of high-quality CNC machined stainless steel parts.
The product
series won silver, twice, at the International Design Awards 2022. It won silver in the following categories:
• Home Interior Products - Kitchen Accessories/Tabletop
• Outdoor And Exercise Equipment - Outdoors, trekking and camping
Customers can choose a single or double shaker option.
Another option is the use of elegant smooth caps or ribbed caps for extra grip in more extreme environments and for people with reduced grip strength.
There are two connection variations for the double shakers: powerful neodymium magnets and screw threads. The magnets make it easy to mount the shakers to many surfaces. The screw thread version is most sturdy.
The designs have been registered with the European Union Intellectual Property Office and the United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office.
