Shower Filter
Client: AquaBliss, Inc., USA
An existing shower filter was already made available on the market by this client. However, he wanted to have a redesign in order to make it more attractive and differentiate it from competitors. I redesigned the outer shell into an elegant shape that fits around the internal cartridge nicely. The previous filter had an issue with areas that were hard to clean. The redesign solves this problem by exclusively incorporating smooth surfaces.
The shower filter has a cylindrical shape with concave areas that provide the end user with extra grip while unscrewing and fastening the two halves for placing and replacing filter cartridges.
The shower filter houses a cartridge with redox media, calcium sulfite, and activated carbon. These substances reduce chlorine, dirt, bad odors, sediment, pharmaceuticals, pesticides and other harmful toxins from water.
The filter was designed to harmonize with existing shower heads and form a natural part of any bathroom. The product is now protected by a design patent.
