Wooden Lid

Client: Conscious Family, Germany

For the Conscious Family brand, I designed a distinguishable wooden lid for a series of glass bottles. The lid is developed for an eco-conscious target group that prefers natural looks and materials. Since natural birch wood is used, no two lids are exacly the same. Slight differences in color and grain make every single lid unique.

The characteristic tapered shape has three flat surfaces that allow a user to exert more force while opening and closing the bottle. The lid is relatively wide, which enhances this effect.

The screw thread part is made up of wheat straw plastic with a high percentage of natural content. Inside is a silicon lid that seals the bottle and ensures no plastic touches the drinking water.

The client made sure a patent is pending for this design.
