Jade Kitchen Knife

Developed in Vienna, Austria

The Jade Kitchen Knife is an all-round knife for use in the kitchen.

The knife was developed in an internal research project and tailored to a variety of cutting tasks in the kitchen. With a length just below 20 cm, it is a compact tool with big impact.

The name of the knife (Jade) is inspired by the almost gem-like shape and the characteristic color of the handle that reminds of Jade. In reality, stabilized maple wood is used as a handle material because of the strength, low-maintenance qualities, and appearance.

The flat sides of the handle allow the knife to rest on a surface without the blade touching it and therefore keeping the surface clean.

The blade is made of hardened corrosion resistant steel, to make the whole knife a low-maintenance and practical kitchen tool.

The handle is made in such a way that the grip allows your hand to naturally hold it with your index finger or middle finger (depending on the type of grip) at the bolster of the knife, therefore removing the need for a longer handle. The bolster protects your hand from the sharp knife blade.

Although the handle is small, the balance point is not in the blade, but in the front of the handle to ensure a firm and secure grip.

The eyelet at the end of the handle allows it to be hung on a kitchen hook for easy storage.

The full tang construction makes it suitable for production in any knife workshop.
